Appointments
Appointments can be booked by phoning 07 3290 4218. If you’re not sure who to see, we’re happy to help match you with the most suitable psychologist or counsellor based on your needs and preferences.
You do not need a referral to book with us directly. However, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Psychologist Fees & Rebates
Accessing mental health support should feel clear and manageable. Here’s a simple guide to how our psychology fees work:
- Session fees vary based on the experience and registration level of your clinician — whether they are a Counsellor, Mental Health Social Worker, General Psychologist, or Clinical Psychologist.
- Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients with a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP.
- Private health rebates may also apply depending on your insurer and level of cover.
If you’re unsure which funding options are right for you, our admin team is happy to assist.
We’ll always discuss session fees and any applicable rebates with you before your first appointment.
Counselling and Psychology Fees:
The fee for a psychology session can vary based on the psychologist’s experience and whether they are a Counsellor, Mental Health Social Worker/Counsellor, General or Clinical Psychologist.

Please contact us directly to discuss.
If your Mental Health Care Plan specifically states that you are visiting for ADHD Assessment then you are able to claim a Medicare rebate on the Intake, Assessment and Feedback sessions. Please see below the Helping Children with Autism Package on a guide to Medicare Rebates for Autism.
There are out of pockets costs associated with all assessments.
Other Info & Funding Options
Please read the following information that might help you see us. Additional funding may be available through organisations like DVA, insurance companies, WorkCover, or Employee Assistance Programs.
Make sure your psychologist or counsellor is registered with the funding organisation to claim rebates or seek reimbursement.
Accessing Rebates
To claim Medicare rebates, you’ll need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist. Eligible clients can claim up to 10 sessions per year.
Private Health Insurance may also cover sessions, with rebates varying between providers and policies. You’ll typically pay the session fee upfront and claim the rebate later.
NDIS participants may access funding for psychological services, with options for self-managed and plan-managed.
Chronic Disease Management Plan (also known as Enhanced Primary Care Plan)
You may be able to access a CDMP referral from your GP if you suffer a chronic medical condition. This allows you to have up to five sessions per calendar year with an allied health professional (most of the therapists on our team). This referral enables you to receive a rebate of $55.10 per session.
Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) Package
The Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package is an Australian Government initiative providing support for children aged 0 – 6 years with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), their families and carers. Funding of up to $12,000 is available to children aged 0-6 years diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. You can find out how to apply for this packing by phoning the Autism Information Advisor team on 1300 424 499.
Understanding your options for fees and rebates can help make accessing psychological support more manageable. If you have any questions about funding or reimbursement, don’t hesitate to ask your psychologist for guidance.
Strict Cancellation Policy
If you need to reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
If you provide less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation or reschedule, the full session fee will be charged (unless we are able to fill the appointment).
Please understand that our cancellation policy was developed to minimise potentially negative impact on three people:
You – your progress in therapy will be delayed
Your therapist – they have planned for your session and arranged their schedule around you
Another client – there are usually people on the waitlist who are keen to attend if sufficient notice is provided
